Daily Dog Walks, Play Groups, Socialization, Special Outings
Do you work full time and your canine family needs a break? We provide a variety of options for them. Anything from time out in the yard or a walk in your neighborhood, or an outing at a local park (we often go to Bandy Field, University of Richmond, Forest Hill Park, Deep Run Park), or a play date at our home where we have a yard with a six foot privacy fence for safety.
Do you need to travel and need multiple pet sitting visits, we have that covered too. We can come in for pet sitting visits depending on the number of visits you need each day (half hour or longer depending on needs).
We also provide overnight care in your home along with daily visits so we care for your pet family and provide care for your home such as bring in mail and packages, water plants, change lighting and shades/curtains, and just give your home the safety and security like you were home.
Why Keep your Pets at Home
Leaving your pets at home while you need to be away whether planned or for an emergency will provide comfort for your pets and for you. Whether they are happy and healthy and need playtime in the yard or a nice walk, or if they are young with a health issue, or seniors who just need some special care, we will be there for them allowing them to keep their regular schedule, sleep in their usual spot, and have the comforts of being home. This creates less stress for your pet family and for you.
Caring for Special Needs Animals
Over the course of many years we have cared for puppies to seniors and been with many who have passed over to The Rainbow Bridge. We understand special needs animals as we have cared for many. We have cared for dogs with everything from total hip replacement, knee replacement, spinal surgery, epilepsy, diabetes, cancer, various surgeries, and much more.
We can give medications, insulin injections, fluids, and other special services if needed. We have training in First Aid and CPR.
Multiple Animal Households
Having a large dog and cat family of our own and working with the rescue, we are used to working with multiple animals on a daily basis. Whether you have one dog or cat or multiple dogs, cats, and some other pets we can be there for you when you need to be away.
We can also provide care for other animals such as horses, alpacas, ducks, geese, and others based on the specific needs of your animal family. Please don’t hesitate to ask.
Having a van which is low to the ground, we can transport dogs and potential other family members for vet care or therapy. We have multiple sized ramps and a vet stretcher and various size kennels to safely provide transport if needed.
Experience with Different Breeds of Dogs
Between our pet family and the rescue work, we have experience with a large variety of breeds. We don’t just have experience walking or staying with these dogs, they have lived in our home in foster care and we have worked to get to know about the breed.
We have done extensive training over the years to work with our large canine family and use positive reinforcement for house training, loose leash walking, and all of the basic commands for a happier and safer environment for our dogs both in our family and rescue family.
What makes us special and what can we provide for you…
COMMITMENT TO PET FAMILY MEMBERS AND YOU!
Our goal is to provide an opportunity for you to have the best care for your pet family. We hope that we can take care of your family if you need to be away from them and make them and you as comfortable and happy during this time with our experience and commitment.
We also want to be a source of information for you. With all of the years in this community and all of our pet family and our rescue friends we know a lot about caring for animals. We can provide resources about veterinary care (both primary care and special care), training, grooming, rescue, and so much more.
